GlacialPower's new 150 Watt LED driver, the GP-LS150P-60 is tough and versatile

Designed to get the best light quality and longest life from LEDs

July 19, 2016 - Taipei Taiwan - GlacialPower, a division of LED technology manufacturer GlacialTech Inc., is today pleased to introduce the GP-LS150P-60, a 150 Watt LED driver that offers a 60V DC output and IP67 rated environmental protection from water and dust. This new member of the GlacialPower LED driver family is rugged, reliable, versatile and very efficient. Active power factor correction enhances the GP-LS150P-60’s efficient use of input power and the driver also provides high power output efficiency.

This driver offers constant current and constant voltage operation modes, and handles a wide range of input power levels from 90 to 264 VAC at a frequency of 47 to 63 Hz. It is perfect for challenging interior and exterior lighting applications and tough environmental conditions. In common with other products in the GlacialPower LED driver range, the GP-LS150P-60 focuses on environmental protection and reduction of power costs, and incorporates numerous electrical and thermal safety features.

Versatile for a wide range of jobs and environments

With its support for a range of input power levels, the versatile GP-LS150P-60 is designed to serve the widest variety of applications without fuss. The driver handles challenging indoor and outdoor lighting applications and extreme weather. It is protected from environmental threats by its waterproof and dustproof IP67 rated enclosure. The power connectors themselves are IP68 rated and can be connected and disconnected without opening the IP67-rated housing, saving time and maintenance costs.

This rugged and reliable driver comes with full safety features including Over-Current Protection (OCP), Over-Voltage Protection (OVP), Short-Circuit Protection (SCP) and Over-Temperature Protection (OTP). These protections ensure a long, maintenance-free life.

Get the optimum light quality from your LEDs

The GP-LS150P-60’s electrical stability helps get the most out of LEDs, for a high quality lighting environment. Output voltage is clean and steady, with negligible ripple, and low noise levels below 380mV. This high power quality prevents LED flicker. In addition, the high output voltage quality also protects LED units from damage and prolongs their life. The driver achieves a startup time below 0.8 seconds at 230 VAC and full load, with a maximum startup time of one second at 115 VAC and full load.

Features:

  • Universal AC input, from 90 to 264VAC.
  • Built in Active Power Factor Correction.
  • Safety protections include OVP, OCP, SCP, and OTP.
  • Constant current and constant voltage modes.
  • IP67 rated for protection from water and dust.
  • IP68 waterproof connectors for convenient maintenance.
  • Starts up in less than 0.8 seconds at 230VAC.
