Giada USA Announces i58B Mini-PC with 4K Ultra HD for Digital Signage

Ultra-slim Broadwell-based System features Low Power Usage, Active Management, and DisplayPort 1.2 for Daisy Chaining Multiple Monitors

July 15, 2015, Brea, California – Giada Technology, a provider of MicroServers, Mini-PCs and embedded motherboards, announces the i58B, a new Intel Broadwell-based slim Mini-PC designed for digital signage applications. The i58B provides 4K video capability and powerful Intel HD Graphics 5500 in a book-sized ultra slim 1” thick form factor. Low power usage, server-grade cooling and “power off” hardware management make the i58B an ideal digital signage computer.

4K Video for Wall-Sized Displays

The i58B’s powerful Intel HD Graphics 5500 gives the ability to drive high resolution wall-sized displays at high resolution with support for 4K Ultra HD video using HDMI. The i58B is capable of High-definition video output at 720p, 1080p, and 2160p and multi-channel digital audio. An additional DisplayPort 1.2 connection supports up to 3200x2000 PC resolution, stereoscopic 3D graphics, and all HDTV formats as well as daisy chaining of multiple monitors and features a maximum total throughput of up to 21.6Gbps.

High Performance & Low Power Usage Broadwell CPU

i58B’s Broadwell the Dual Core, 4 thread i5-5200u 2.2GHz CPU has up to 2.7GHz turbo frequency and runs at a low power usage of just 15 TDP. Along with server grade cooling fans and a heat-dissipating metal chassis, the i58B merges processing power and graphics performance with long term reliability. At 7.5 by 5.9 inches and just 1 inch thick(190mmx149mmx26mm), with the optional VESA mount, the i58B can fit easily onto the back of the display or onto the wall.

Lights-Off Active Hardware Management

Active Management features make managing digital signage easier than ever with the i58B. Features like scheduled boots and shut downs, auto-reboot on crash, and the ability to self-boot after a power loss has occurred improves unmanned operation. An IR sensor allows users to control the i58B with a separate remote for easy display management.

Rich Connectivity and Expansion Capability

Gigabit Ethernet, USB 3, Optional Wifi+Bluetooth module and a SIM card slot for 3G gives a wide range of connectivity options for the i58B. mPCIe/mSATA slots and easy assembly/disassembly make it easy to expand storage, memory or connectivity.
